This paper presents a study which consists in defining and implementing a process of Experience feedback large-scale intended to validate an in Service feedback process and to consolidate the FIDES models:

  • Synthesis of the processes REX of 8 different industrials, and definition of a standard process,
  • Follow up of 14 equipment, with various technologies and environments as airborne, ground and naval,
  • Exploitation of the in service feedback at the component level, (5. 1011calendar use hours),
  • Evaluation of the operational reliabilities by families of components, and comparison with reliability prediction models,
  • Realisation of failures analysis to a better knowledge of failure mechanisms.

Obtained results:

  • The common REX process implemented by the five industrials who follow equipment works,
  • The study demonstrated the interest to perform failure analysis to know the causes roots of the failure,
  • The consolidation of the methodology and the FIDES models was obtained by:
    • The conformity with the forecast estimations FIDES with regard to the REX,
    • The realisation of a comparative study of the provisional physical contributors FIDES versus REX,
    • Report of an ascendancy of overstress with regard to the breakdowns of intrinsic origin,
    • The measure of a process close to the industrialists audits results.

At the end of the study, 43 recommendations were formulated for a good implementation of the experience feedback.
